About Noviogel

Noviogel is synthetic and leads therefore, to reproducible results, it is biocompatible and it can be used for regenerative medical purposes. The gel is thermo-reversible and as a consequence it much easier to retrieve your cells or tissue from the hydrogel. It has no auto fluorescence and no contamination with DNA or RNA of your matrix.

Noviogel is a polyisocyanopeptide (PIC) hydrogel which is a new class of advanced polymers. The polymer has a helix-like structure that is similar to the conformation of collagen abundantly present in the extracellular matrix (structure around cells). Noviogel combines the unique benefits of natural and synthetic biomaterials. It uniquely performs like other extracellular matrix proteins, while possessing the same characteristics as other commercial hydrogels. Noviogel creates a cellular microenvironment with the right mechanical cues to control cell expansion and differentiation.
